Squat

Squats are a very popular workout that many people do in the weight room. though some people are either doing it wrong or were never taught how to do it correctly. The squat is a great lift to incorperate into everyone workout no matter what your trying to do whether its bulk up and gain muscle size, or its just to stay fit and keep your legs active and strong, or most people might think of the squat as the lift that will automatically give you a big booty.

The squat is a lower body exercise and targets a lot of different muscles mostly pertaining to your legs. Like your quads, glutes, hamstring, and many more muscles. Squat will keep your bones and joints healthy and improve your mobility in your lower body. So your flexibility and speed will increase as well.

When setting up to start the squat make sure your feet are shoulder width apart and you are well balanced with your weight distributed equally on your toes and heels. Take the bar on your shoulders (if doing back squat) or against your collar bone on your wrists (when doing front squat). Lift it off the rack and get your feet set, then proceed to squat the weight keeping a flat/natural arch in the back and getting a deep 90 degree angle before exploding out of the bottom of the squat and completing the repetition.
